This model features a black dial and a green and black ceramic Cerachrom bezel insert. In addition to the usual hour, minute and second hands, the GMT-Master II features an arrow-tipped hand that completes one revolution of the dial every 24 hours, as well as a bidirectional rotating 24-hour graduated bezel.
The distinctively colored 24-hour hand displays the “home” reference time in the first time zone, which can be read on the graduations on the bezel. The traveler’s home time is easily set by “jumping” in hourly increments, thanks to an ingenious mechanism operated via the crown: the hour hand can be adjusted forwards or backwards independently of the minute and second hands. This allows the traveler to adapt to their new time zone without affecting the precision of the watch. The Cerachrom bezel comes in an original color combination: black and green, exclusive to this model.
